What areas does Sofa Studio deliver to? Sofa Studio delivers to almost any area in Australia. We use the services of reputable third party carriers. We deliver to all the major capital cities, as well as many regional areas as well. Our website provides indicative delivery charges based upon post code. This is to be used as a guide only and may be influenced by individual factors such as; (i) Proximity to main regional areas (ii) Onsite access such as non-ground floor delivery. (iii) Quantity (iv) Size.
How do I know if I have difficult access? Call our showroom or email us pictures with measurements and our experienced sales staff will advise you on your access options including potential balcony lifts or arms off delivery where applicable.
How long until I receive my delivery? Unless your order is from our stock range, then it will be made to order from scratch. For this reason our normal delivery time is 4-6 weeks. This is an indicative lead time only and delays can sometimes occur due to delays in fabrics/leather or transportation. You will be advised an approximate date of arrival at the time your order is placed. Should a delay occur, you will be contacted immediately. If you require your order faster or slower than standard, please provide that information with your order.
Can I organise my own carrier? Yes. However under these circumstances we are not responsible for the furniture once it leaves our factory or showroom.
Can I nominate my day or time for delivery? We can be more flexible with delivery times and days for some larger capital cities. However all deliveries are conducted on a set run basis by suburb or city ie the carriers are only in certain areas at certain times. You will be provided with a time range for delivery and can be phoned by the carrier prior to delivery upon request.
When will I be notified prior to delivery? You will be contacted up to a week before your delivery to confirm delivery details and given an approximate delivery time range. Any outstanding balances will be settled at this point.
Can I delay delivery of my order? Please contact our showroom if for any reason you need to delay your delivery. This is only possible before your goods have been delivered from the factory to an external carrier’s warehouse. It is best not to leave this request until the last minute and provide us as much notice as possible.
Can I pick up my order? Yes. You can pick up your order from our showroom at 382 Pacific Highway Crows Nest. You will need 2 able bodied people who are capable of lifting heavy furniture. Pick up times are 10am -3pm, Monday-Friday. Self pick-ups need to be pre-arranged 5 days in advance with the showroom and no charge is incurred.
Why do you require full payment required prior to delivery? Delivery is made by contract carriers. They don’t process any payments.
Does Sofa Studio accept Personal/ Company cheques? We accept personal/company cheques for deposits. Not balances.
Can I pay in cash? Cash payments can be made at the showroom 5 days before the delivery. The carriers do not handle cash.
Can the carriers move my old sofas or furniture?The carrier’s job is to deliver your furniture and then move on to the next job. Should you require extra work doing onsite (eg disposing of old sofa) please discuss with the showroom first at the time of order. In many instances the carrier may oblige. Surcharges apply.
